I received the shipment of NVR and cameras in a timely manner. The items were well packaged. I hooked up each camera to the NVR utilizing the cat6 23awg cables that were purchased for installation and initialized them as directed by the video supplied by EmpireTech. The NVR recognized each camera and worked as expected. After installation in position under the soffits of my house, using the EmpireTech junction boxes I was again able to obtain the video feed. I then installed the DMSS app onto my iphone and have had no problem viewing the cameras remotely. Everything is working as expected. The abilities and settings available to pursue available options are a lot to learn. I continue to work with the NVR and app.
Immediately after the installation, Hurricane Francine struck our home in south Louisiana. With the windows boarded up I was able to observe the effects of the 90mph winds on my yard and with the 180 degree field of view also my neighbors homes. The cameras withstood the hurricane and the NVR booted up easily when the home generator came on after power went out. I am pleased with my purchase.
